She gained international fame following her appearance as Mia Colucci in the hit Mexican Television show Rebelde and also as a member of the Latin Grammy-nominated pop group RBD. Anahi has sold over 3 million albums in her solo artist. Anahi's career began in 1985 when she was a mere two years old. It was in an Mexican program on television called Chiquilladas. Anahi Giovanna Puente was born 14 May 1983 in Mexico City, Mexico, to Spanish father Enrique Puente, and Mexican mother Marichelo Portilla. The older sister of her is TV personality Marichelo Puente (born 1978) and an older half-sister Diana Puente from her father's previous marriage. The word means: One that is gorgeous as an iris; One who speaks; immortal. Anahi is a Spanish girl's initial name. It is a beautiful word, similar to flowers.
